Well I ordered a Ozonics HR300, was going to buy one last year but pushed it off. Got a good deal on one so we will see. Was going to check cameras this past weekend but go to busy with other things. Got a couple stands I need to check and one to put a lifeline in. Also ended up ordering a Phase 4 29. I have a carbon one that I just bought too. Don't know how I feel about it still. First bowtech I ever owned. I probably wouldn't have gotten the Phase 4 if my shop didn't cut me a good deal on one. I usually have a couple bows and tinkering around until I decide which one I'm going to stick with.

I have the double. I really don't mind setting one up, just never have. I like to shoot and tinker anyway and thanks for the tip on locking the dial. I'll probably do exactly that now.

That wasn’t me, I have in my back yard but nothing hunting related, I do want to put one of those Rubbermaid 150 gallons containers in one of these years.

Any idea what your arrow speed is? (Ball park, not exactly.)

You should be able to find speed online, but with 600 taw you'll be a good bit slower than the ibo

I'm good at that obvious stuff

I ask because my V3 shoots at 284 fps and the second pin on my Fast Eddie is right at 35 yards. It makes it pretty simple to shoot out to 40 yards without touching the sight, and I practice this drill every time I shoot.

Ha! Right. 342 fps per specs, but I also have 28 draw length. I think my helix was supposed to be around 280 fps with the same arrows, so it should be close to that.

Second pin now is at 34 for me. I'm guessing my broadheads will hit a couple inches lower than field points. I may not need to do anything to the tape. We shall see.

Got in another good acout on public land this past Saturday. I posted details in the 2023 Scouting Thread if you are interested. Also, shot my bow out to 60 to confirm that last weeks sighting was correct. Good with fields point, now I just have check broadhead.

Temps dropping to the low 80s and I have the day off tomorrow. Going to scout the other half of a 200 acre river bottom property. Think this place may have some potential.

I would pay good money to have someone do it for me. I tried going back to fixed pins but the clutter drove me crazy.

Online calculator says 342 IBO bow, 28" draw length, 600 grain arrow, shows about 235 fps at 70 lbs, even at 80 lbs it's still only around 250 fps. And online calculators usually read hot (because all bow manufacturers bald face lie about IBO numbers).

If those specs are close, then you are quite a bit south of 280 fps. Not that it matters, just FYI. Just want to let you know something is way off there.
My BIL has a double pin Fast Eddie, his setup is doing 285 fps. His second pin is on at 38-39 yards.

Thanks for looking it up. It had been a long time since I looked at it. I came down with some kind of sickness crap yesterday and this has all hit the back burner for a while.

That sucks. There is a summer illness going around here right now too, lots of coworkers and family getting it. Fever and stomach issues at both ends.
