Didn’t have any service this morning, didn’t end up seeing anything, on the way out I bumped into a guy on the main trail that had just shot a buck, helped him get on the blood trail but now have to book it over to the private property to do some work for the landowner. I’ll be out tomorrow evening or Wednesday morning!
Yah still foggy and still raining , it's gotten old and makes the idea of snow, look good at this point.
Heading out for hunt num 2 of the season this evening… Telling myself less is more when in all reality life with a 2 year old and a very pregnant wife is forcing that strategy into motion. But as optimistic as you can be for a mid October hunt with temps in the mid 50’s, cloudy skies, north wind @ 9 and headed into an area that 5 days ago was just hammered with scrapes, rubs and fresh sign. I highly doubt a buck like the one killed on here last night shows up… Ha.
I didn't see anything at all this morning but when I got down I found an area nearby that had 4 brand new scrapes and some rubs. I had a cell camera with me so I hung it and I think I'm going to go back there tonight and sit. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
I'll be sitting down about 415. With today's north wind I am hunting a stand on the north end of the corn field. I've never hunted it with standing corn. The farmer's son has occasionly driven his quad around the entire field...so I can get back there! I'm bringing straps and my gutting stuff...just in case. Good luck to those hunting this evening.
All setup sneaking a hunt after work today on a piece of public that just opened today one other truck here so I didn’t go where I wanted didn’t want to risk messing him up sitting on a heavy trail the most white oak acrons on the ground I have ever seen just hoping for a doe Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
