I never did post a follow up to the sit this evening. I had a 45 yard shot at another big doe about 20 minutes before dark but the wind was howling right in my face, she was nervous, fidgety and on full alert. I decided to pass. I’m exhausted. There’s something about sitting in high wind, especially when it’s hitting me in the face on a field edge, that just wears me out. Most of my stuff is loaded, along with the e doe I killed. I’ll head home tomorrow morning. I may not have gotten one of the big boys but I’m not going home empty handed.
Thanks, It wasn’t the buck I thought it was. It was grunting and carrying on off the field edge for a bit before it came out. I was only able to see tiny bits of it through the leaves etc. I thought it was one of the bigger bucks. I’ve definitely taken smaller buck so no disappointment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Its a great buck, I would be mounting it. I have always wanted to shoot one where the main beams come together like that.
Up and coffee brewing, will be heading south here in a little with dad. Good luck out there today guys!
Been up since 5 and rains just gotten heavier. Looks like another wash out. Oh well this year has certainly made worrying about a dry well non existent. Good luck out there guys , stay safe
BTW Radar shows zero clouds and the forecast says cloudy till 1pm then rain. It's been raining non stop since ,well 12 a.m when I let A. J. Out. So much for weather reports and the radar
