Just had first deer come by. 2 year oldish 6 pt. Would have been a 8 pt if he had his brow tines. Pass for now.

Up and at it, same stand as last night. Moved some cams around and rigged a horizontal rub. Fricking wind is just swooshing around in circles again. Good news is doesn't seem to be gusting towards the direction I'm most expecting, but they could come from anywhere here.

Buddy had a huge 8 on his cell cam back in IL this afternoon at 2pm. Prob is we're hunting in WI.

GD it, neighbor is out on his quad hauling wood. SOB is retired, supposed to be nice all week and he knows we're up here. He's about 80 yds from me.

Just got settled in at 430 I don't expect to see much until the last half hour. Hopefully things die down have stiff breeze and occasional sideways rain but it's supposed to let up soon. Congrats LC.

    Good job LC!

Finally back in a stand after shooting a doe last Sunday morning. Bucks only tonight and tomorrow. I’ll try to do better at being live from the stand the next 2 hunts!

    Good luck pm

Last two seasons have taught me hunting near duck hunters can be a huge challenge. Only decent places I have to hunt within 30min. Dudes don't care. Rip trees down and put up massive ground blinds. Come in with huge engines in 1 to 2 foot of water loud as heck. All new to me. I have to adapt.

This blows. Just noticed this on my lower limb. Looks like I'll be shopping this week. IMG_20231015_172023.jpg

Bruh....hitting the easy button sounds so tempting. I really want to go in with someone on a lease somewhere. BUT, I don't think it would be nearly as enjoyable or satisfying. Mindset mindset mindset. Improvise, adapt and overcome. Embrace the suck.

That does suck. Never a good time but especially now. Guess as least it's not November?

Had a doe trot past at 50 about 40 mins ago. Stayed on red alert hoping a buck was behind her.
    Nope, not a thing. Yet.

Been getting buck pics all day, might put work off tomorrow and hunt am in this urban spot then go out at my farm in the evening with my bow and Muzzleloader . It’s doe and Bear with ML now in PA, been having a problem bear around the prop and if he shows he’s done. Might pop a doe if none come close enough for the bow.
