I got up at 4 and raining so hard A. J. Refused to go off porch. Hubby had to push him out at 6 . Now drizzle and windy. Another good day to get stuff done. Canned apple juice and made sauce yesterday. Errands and juice today. I know they are hanging in area pine plantations in these long rains. Not traveling far between with food in edges.

I'm down. Just checked the card on the camera and it stopped taking pictures yesterday morning at 1 am..... Friday I had bucks all over. Though counted at least 5.

Cue up Benny Hill music this morning. Get in fairly quiet. Draw my bow to check all is well...arrow 1 goes flying. Wth. Thinking I accidentally tripped my thumb release with my saddle bridge I nock another arrow. Pull back and before I get to full draw, wham arrow 2 goes flying. I'm sitting in my tree dumbfounded. Remember the release did the same thing three years ago when the tension screw backed out, thereby making it ultra sensitive...like .52 lbs of pressure. Haha.

Drove straight to the archery range and broke the release down and shot it back into operation. I need a drink.

Not trying to one up, but I lost my range finder yesterday. No clue how either.

I got down at 9:30 this morning. I did see two deer sneaking through the thick cover about 15 minutes after daylight. Nothing after that.

I’m back up in a different spot. It’s a good spot but the only tree to get in is a Shagbark Hickory. (Cue the cussing and sweating.). I wanted to get to 25 feet but after a few minutes of wrenching gut muscles I decided 20 feet would do just fine.

Here goes a seven hour sit. I’ll be heading home in the morning. Deer movement has been very disappointing this weekend.
