I’m up and on the edge of an oak flat and bedding. Two bowls one to my right and left I’m on the point of it that goes to a green field. Got a fresh scrape and rubs around me, wind is blowing right off the back of the ridge. Should be good, wind is strong outa the west and covered my noise walking in. Good luck out there tonight everyone!
I had an arrow loaded aimed and drawn. When I released it deconstructed. The only thing I can find wrong with it is the loop on one end of the string looks like it gave way.
Way ahead on that score. I bought a Bear Whitetail Legend from Mike's several days ago because it was on year end clearance (last year model) and I couldn't pass up the deal, So I've got it out on the back deck getting it sorted out and sighted in, It shoots really nice so far. I used to wonder why people talked about having a "backup bow". I don't wonder why anymore.
Sitting in a stand for the first time. Lots of crop damage here. Quiet walk in. Perfect wind. All does down. Looking for a Slugger Double. Too much fun. I love Bowhunting.
I’m up again, same stand as last Friday. Another beautiful evening to be in a stand, hopefully a blood trail to follow later . Good luck everyone!
Another one, but a fawn. Of course it came right through my shooting lane… at least I can hear them coming today
In the stand this evening, got here at 4 and took down a stand and moved it over a nice white oak that overlooks the spot that I shot that doe on Saturday. I want to be in the exact spot they come out for a 20yd shot now. Spot and stalk was fun though.
Good luck! I’m hoping the rain holds off so I can finally get out on Thursday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well crap, probably the same doe and fawns came back towards me. Unfortunately she came straight at me the whole way straight to the base of my tree, then proceeded to walk straight away without offering me a shot…. Just not meant to be I guess
Oh ya! Had a staring contest with him for about 10min. Those young ones sure are dumb but have great eyes lol.
