I’m almost right in line with you in the southern tier. Looks like it might let up around 3 I’ll be heading to the stand around then.
First time out on my land for a sit this year. A few squirrels, but no deer. Appears the acorns have all been hoovered up though. I'll leave the stand and maybe sit tonight also. A good bit of wind as the sun came up and that 'chill' (any dip below 60 down here) in the air...
So I take it you saw that radar as well.? It was solid all the way to the Virginia's. Got to my driveway, rain stopped, wind stopped and you can hear a pin drop..lol Oh well .
Pretty sure I know exactly where they were going to bed. I am going to give it another 30 minutes or so, they don’t come this way, I will get down and try to stalk on my way out.
Opinions please So pulled card , dummy me some how switched to video. Got 3 a great one of the 8pt and he's way better in video. One of me entering, one leaving. Now from my arrival, he was there at 4a.m. came in from where I saw this mornings bucks alone and headed up hill toward the corn field. Here's my question, could one of the morning 2 buck be him having come back? This or two more coming up to go to the corn. Would the 8 have circled around so soon?. Be great if I had 3 good ones hanging out there.
Just got blown at by a doe. She was at 18 through thick stuff and the wind swirled. I was waiting for her to clear the cover to shoot.
Rain is here now. Looks like by radar is going to stop a hour later. But by 3 looks like it will clear out. And Temps start dropping. Should be a good evening! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
No deer this morning, will head out in a few hours for evening hunt. No hunt tommorow, trying to not burn out my stand too early. 18mph winds, 25mph gusts. Probably won't be much of a good evening but maybe they will die off before primetime.
On my walk out, I spotted the three does bedded where I thought they would be. I got to 60 yards before the wind swirled and they busted me. Going to go scout a spot for my boys for the youth rifle season in November.
