    Well I made it up the side of the mountain easy enough. No stand today, so some ground bushwacking is the plan. Sitting down, leaning on a huge poplar, waiting for daybreak. 90 yards from the crest, 60 to the draw that they cross. Hopefully they are still in the oak flats and head my way soon.

    61 cold front just finished passing by. In the tree, sipping coffee, listening to Gods creation walking up. Hard to beat!

    Just had two big bodied deer ,walk bye out of range. Not by much.
    oh but for sure they are buck in Cut bean field fighting . I can just see their out line through leaves

    I am in. This tree was hardwr to get into than I thought, but I am up. Only about 15 feet but, tons of cover. It is thicker in here than I thought it would be with the drought this summer. Shots will be 15 yarss or less if they happen. Good luck everyone.

    Unfortunately I discovered the corn behind neighbors sanctuary was not cut as thought nor the new field acoss the road from cut beans. Thats a half mile away the other is 2 +hundred yrds away
    Those two were headed to the field kiddy corner from me. They could swing back.

    It amazes me still how well these deer can camouflage. Had a buck come in right at 7 o'clock never saw him or heard him. He spooked off. He was only 8 yards from me.
