Same thing has happened to me before, can on do what the weather allows. Man that really sucks, hope weather breaks and you can do a grid search if you have any idea where she went.
I need to stay out of the lease until the corn is down. I got 400 to 500 acres of corn surrounding my river bottom and they can hide anywhere! As bad as I hate to say it... I'm headed to the farm tomorrow. Lots of options there probably to many!
first sit this PM/4.5 hrs .. saw one unknown deer back in the thick stuff ... high winds and spotty rain, but at least it has cooled down ... back to the same tree tomorrow AM.... suppose to be very windy (n-nw 20+mph/cool/spotty showers again in the early Am) .. ... btw, one of the best acorn crops in years, like hail coming down all over.. the problem with to many acorns, is deer dont have to travel far from cover to feed ... all these acorns are good for the critters no matter what ... ..
Happened to me first Doe I shot this year. None of us like it, but things happen. Its hunting. Keep grinding.
My first sit was great! Must have been my first post in the LFTS thread this year good luck! Smacked a nice doe. It's my first bow deer in 2 or 3 years. And first off of the new property we can hunt. Land owner is going to be happy with the venison. Pic is of the exit side.
Feels niiiiiice outside. Getting some coffee down and headed out soon enough. Woke before my alarm. Let's get after it
LFG! Looking for a birthday buck today… Good luck, everyone! Stay safe and shoot strait! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
