Do not let them do that to you. Make sure you get your service record documented and collaborate with other soldiers who walked those same mountains/aerial jumps and did those same things as you, and see if they have the same types of injuries.
Well it's raining acorns and squirrels in here but the deer ain't noticing Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
Yeah I’m going to try and get it back hopefully this evening Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Don't accept what they say. My son is still in and got a partial disability on his shoulder, but they said the same thing to him when he had it first checked out.
Yea already doing that. My dad did 30 years and had kept me square. I’m on the burn barrel list and had everything documented my units flight surgeon made sure all my stuff is written correctly. The burn barrel stuff is scary. It has already taken three guys I was deployed with before they turned 30. It is like my generation agent orange. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You as well ash. Mine is just old age and working with hands too much peeling, coring and cutting fruits and veggies. Then pulling a zillion rusty nails yesterday. This out of a trailer load of 2x4's our son gave me from his gutting their old farm house.uuhhhgg lath and plaster. Though way better 2x4 than you'll find on market today.
I’ve seen nothing except squirrels and at this point that’s all I’m going to see. I’m not surprised though. I’ve hunted this patch of woods a few times the past few years and I’ve never seen a deer in the mornings.
As others have said, make sure to get everything documented while you're still in. Then once you've ETS'd/separated use a non-profit advocate to help you file for everything/anything. They know how to navigate through the system, and will tell you what to say and what not to say. It is sad that we have to fight so hard for what is rightfully earned and ours. Getting a non-profit advocate makes it much smoother. I have only had issues when I didn't know something (i.e., going to the ER and then getting the VA to cover it) or with mental health therapists being constricting and structured to the point that when I disclosed of something in a session (being molested as a child) the therapist said: "I'm sorry to hear that, and we can address that at another time, today we are talking about your depression." Oh yeah, there was the time that they performed a surgical procedure on me on a broken x-ray machine table in a linen closet......no lie.... Other than a few SNAFU's, they've been pretty good to me.
Well……….. that was probably the most exciting hunt I can remember in a long time. Made it out to the creek the beavers have it dammed up. So I had to cross at a different location because it would have been close to neck high where I planned. As I’m walking up the other side of the creek I notice there are multiple deer in the field I do not see the buck that I saw from the house, I finally find a spot I can cross and can climb the bank. I wish I could have brought my phone to take some pic to give everyone an idea. The bank is 20 to 25ft almost straight up. Once I get to the crest there are 5 to 6 does, 2 spikes rubbing antlers. The buck I saw was gone. The does keeping feeding and they look my direction every once in awhile but continue to feed. From my knees the doe that’s the closest I take a shot through a little golden rod. She bounds off with the rest of the deer and stands in the field then finally walks off with the rest of the deer. My shot ended up being low. I found little blood and a lot of fat on my arrow. I checked where she went into the brush then circled around it and through it, I couldn’t find any more blood. The black is my walk in, red is my shot and blood trail. Blood was not that good. A crappy start to the day with the first hunt turned into an exciting one for me. Thanks everyone for wishing me luck I almost pulled it off with the doe.
Hey you gave it a shot. Not all hunts work out perfect all the time. Now you know a new approach that can work on future hunts. Keep at it! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Sounds like you gave it your best shot and made uneventful morning into an exciting one. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I am going to get out this evening with my oldest son. This will be the first hunt of the season for me. We have three bucks that have been visiting the area pretty frequently. I really just want to get a look at one of them. I know two of them aren't shooters yet but one looks very promising and I want to get a look at him. He's always around but he knows how to avoid the camera. He's always in the background.
Just got done talking to plant manager and putting in my time off. Rutcation is officially Nov 3rd through the 19th. Switching Saturday's with another supervisor so I can have 17 straight days!
