Taking the little guy to just watch the morning woods and check a stand. Going to stay on the outer edge and watch. How about you. It’s going to be warm this week. Ugh!!

I'll be out Monday morning. Gonna sit the oaks. They're dropping acorns like crazy

Yeah all trees are shedding their fruit fast. It’s been so dry. Wish you the best Monday! It will feel good just to be out there.

Shut it! 96 degrees here today. Last night when I went to bed at 1 AM it was still 83 degrees. Not a good start in the midwest....

My guess is, if he text someone about putting one down he said something like:

"I just whacked a #!?&@. As for the pics to come, fugget aboudit, the #*/!?ing #!?&@ had it coming".

Well it wasn’t the ideal shot but it worked out.I had to stop her twice and she was already a little on edge. As I shot she whirled into it and took a QAD exodus to the temple !! She dropped and started kicking and rolling down a steep rocky hill. I was scrambling to get out of stand because I thought I spined her. Until I got to her she had gone about 200 yards to the bottom of the hill in the nastiest stuff ever. She was dead but good lord it was a struggle getting her out.
I was watching deer all afternoon. Saw around 20 does. Great first day and meat in the freezer.

Hitting the woods in the morning, cooler and foggy until mid morning.
Haven't had a single deer on camera in a week until today, had an 8pt come though at 3am. Hoping after this full moon, they will be back to daylight.

Funny, I've also had very little action on the cams for about a week now. Not sure the reason. I know acorns are falling and I don't have any cams in those areas, so maybe that's the reason. And in Ohio it's been a huge bust all year. I really don't know what's going on over there but I'm getting very little on the cameras

Yeah I'm hoping it's just a slight pattern/trail change they made around Youth Season....I was having lots of pics, even good daylight action all September until last weekend. Everything stopped.
