Stupid me doesn’t check the radar before heading out. Getting poured on. Also stupid me decided to not wear my jacket just my thicker base layer and vest. Soaked. It will all be worth it when Mr. Big pops out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I guarantee I rubbed poison ivy on my hands and face. If I wasn't on to a big buck I'd have already left to scrub. Guarantee bad poison ivy coming...might as well just roast out here and kill something.
Sun is back and I’m dry. Little wind and sun goes a long way. Especially with this merino wool. It dries so incredibly fast. I’m actually kinda shocked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’m set up for a short sit. We were driving home from Tennessee and I saw that it was raining at home and the temps had dropped 21 degrees. Since I wanted to walk over and put a stand out for tomorrow morning I figured why not just sit the last hour of daylight. I’m across the road this evening and does are definitely off the menu for a while here.
My view of my little plot. Nothing is planted here but the deer love the native grass that grows in it.
During prime time a storm came in out of nowhere blowing 20 miles an hour winds and drenched me. Pretty exciting finding chest high rubs in September.
Nothing for me this evening. I'm back at the house. I really didn't expect to see anything this sit. Tomorrow and the next day could be interesting. Saturday and Sunday could have potential also with the new moon.
Okay, so I got a text from Josh while I was in the tree. The big bucks are back on camera right where they were before. If this holds for a day or two then what other explanation for their disappearance while I was there could there be besides the guy running the hay baler right next to their bedding area while they were bedded? If they stay on camera I'll be making another trip up there before long. I'd much rather kill one of the 140-150+ bucks there than the 120-125 bucks I have here.
