He is okay, it’s a good picture lol . I passed him up Monday, Tuesday and Thursday…. I don’t see any other boars of any size so I decided if he came in Friday evening I would try to kill him. I made a poor shot, but my arrow broadhead combo bailed me out!

Isn't that just the exact argument for the proper arrow set up. Not needed until it is. Congrats man.

Deer haven’t hit either of the mineral sites yet. Just walking by. Kind of odd.

Yeah. Mix two or three packs with a half gallon of water or so and pour it on a block or mineral site… they will start hitting it

Ya not that it's not happening in NY along with feeders . That said I'm happy a scrape I opened up last year and scratched up this spring hoping deer or turkey would hit it finally got hit this week by deer. I was going to hang a grape vine over it but just bent the branch down a little more. No cam, I don't want the temptation to check. The tracks in area are crazy big .

Use the grape vine, the thicker/ bigger and sappier the better. They will all over it

I was thinking just yesterday about starting up some mock scrape sites.

I have a mock scape in NY that goes all year long. Just about every deer that passes near it hits i or makes a point to walk through it at times.
Big Thick vine gets replaced a couple times a year. The fresher it is the better

I agree. A scent of some kind helps draw them in to find the mineral block.. vanilla extract works well too...just put some on the trees near it.

First buck on camera for the 2023-2024 season. Can’t wait to see what’s going to show up this year!

We need rain so so badly here in central MN. Think it's been 5 weeks since the last significant amount. Thankful we had the snowiest winter on record or we would be really screwed right now. Long term forecast doesn't look too good either.
