    Nothing for me.

The property next door fired up some equipment and saw a couple deer running about 200 yards away.

There was way to much sign in there to not see any deer. Must have all been last night. Probably won't get out again til this weekend. Unless I do a quick hunt at the house.

I had a doctor’s appointment this morning but I’m back in a tree this afternoon.

The deer are almost totally nocturnal now, but they may start to relax soon. I did get a couple of daylight pics four days ago, but other than that every pic in the last three weeks has been at night.

I just have to be here when they let their guard down

    Thanks.

I was just going to move my stand for tomorrow morning but the temps have dropped over 30 degrees from yesterday and the barometric pressure is rising so I decided to hunt. If i see a deer it will probably be the last 30 minutes of light.

My best chance here is the morning sits though.

Out looking to drop a coyote or two tonight. Suppressed .308 AR-10 with a pulsar thermal. Hoping to spill first blood for it tonight.

Just had an 8 point walk by at 30.

    I can’t shoot a buck here though.

Oohh man and to think you weren't going to see anything. My cameras in Ohio were showing buck movement in the last 15 - 20 minutes of light past 2 days.

He caught me totally by surprise. The wind was blasting, the leaves were damp and he just materialized about 40 yards to my right. He angled behind me and I guessed him at 30 at the closest.

I instinctively reached for my bow before I remembered I didn’t have a buck tag.

I didn’t see anything after the buck walked by. Tomorrow morning will be my last sit in Missouri this season.

I’m going to spend tomorrow afternoon and Saturday getting my travel trailer prepped and loaded and then Sunday I will tow it to Arkansas.

I really wanted to head to Arkansas today but my wife had an overnight hiking trip planned with some friends and someone has to be here to feed the dogs every night.

She deserves to get out and do her thing too.

Down to the last couple hunts. Temps are gonna be low to mid 20s the next couple mornings and mid 30s in pm. Hope that gets em up and moving.

Good luck to all as you near the end of season.

As much as I'd like to have a shot at that big buck I've jumped twice, I'd like to shoot "porky" as well. Look at the body on this old boy!

    And here we are.

3 days left in the season and I am deerless to date.

Have to work until 2:30 tomorrow, may be able to squeak in an earlier leave, but will be on stand tomorrow late afternoon/early evening. Brown and down, I'll shoot a button buck in range over a 160" 50yds out on same trail. It's about meat and meat only, a guarantee is absolute compared to the just maybe.

I could hunt Saturday morning, but depends on how tomorrow goes. Will hunt Saturday early/late afternoon for certain and will base a potential Sunday hunt on tomorrow and Sat.

My future goal is my own land, new position at work may afford me that opportunity yet. Even if only 5-15 acres, it is something and plenty if given the right situation.

I'm ambitious, both for the weekend and end goal, but damn it, I will prevail on both.

Can’t believe some seasons are still open. And allow more deer to be taken than MN.

    Good luck guys!

I’ve got a few decent bucks on the alfalfa but no sign of the big one. Maybe he will show up one day.

The one on the right almost looks like a shed buck. No idea though.

I got set up 15 minutes ago, a full hour before first light.

It’s not bad out. The wind chill is 21 degrees but the wind is blowing pretty good and it’s damp out.

It’ll be a nice, comfortable last sit for the season in Missouri.
