Woods are quiet this AM. No deer or squirrels so far. Some turkeys gobbling in the distance. Light wind and 30.
Finally got out this morning for a walk and got my killing arrow from my buck in November… stuck about 12ft up in a tree pulled it out and it spins perfectly true, new blades and a another mark for the 7th kill with this arrow and it’s back in the quiver!!
Out with my middle son for a midday sit. On public for the final youth weekend. I have hunted this WMA before but not this spot. We bumped a doe and fawn from a thicket around 9 am while scouting our way in. Unfortunately, they took off before he could shoot. Doe had a broken front leg but was moving well. We found a couple of food plots near thick cover by the lake shore. We are going to sit here until 12:30 or so. My oldest has a 2pm basketball game. Hopefully, with the full moon last night something comes in midday.
I will be heading out in about a hour. Going back to same spot as yesterday and diving in even deeper this time. Keeping the pressure on them til one of us break! Probably going to be me! Haha Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
I'm up. Didn't go real smooth. I did manage to bump a doe finally. I'm back in the spot I missed a doe a couple weeks ago. Lots of trails, tracks and fresh poop. Definitely think they feed here. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
We hunted until 12:30. Bumped two does and a possible young buck walking out. All three were on a bigger food plot that we found walking out. I will be back there tomorrow with my oldest. Midday movement on a full moon.
Just realized I'm facing more east than north I'm on a property 2 south of his that he has permission on.
I’m up for the afternoon looking to punch my doe tag. Good luck out there. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
