    I just got setup in my hay bale blind on the edge of the field. Any mature doe will do. Light rain and 53 degrees. Crazy weather!

    I'm up. Sun is just now coming out here for the first time all day and it's in my face for the next half hour. Didn't bring a hat of course. It's the little things.

    I just saw my first 2 deer. A little 5 and 8 point. I always see bucks when I’m only out for a doe.

    I’ve been set up for the afternoon sit for a while. I moved to the other side of the road to a spot that I’ve only sat twice.

    Not long after I got set up two fire trucks, two ambulances and a few police cars went blazing down the gravel road. Very unusual out here in the sticks.

    News travels fast in the country. My neighbor just let me know that a family about a mile up the road had their house burn completely.

    No one was home so they’re all okay.
