That’s a good question. He almost seemed bigger last year (didn’t have the droptine).

Who knows how many people have him on camera/know he’s in there. I’m guessing our area will be very busy if he just openly told me his spots.

Tell the other guy you've been seeing him in a large public land spot that is actually 10 miles away from where you see him. :)

Moved back over to the beans tonight. It’s way warmer than I want it to be for late season. Super slow so far this afternoon. Good luck to everyone hunting this afternoon.

Smoke ‘em if you got ‘em. Shot the Elm Fork trap course today with my dad, brother and my two older boys. First time for the boys. My oldest broke a clay on his second shot.

I pulled another trail camera I had out for a few weeks. Got a couple decent bucks on it and saw some rut behavior in mid December. The weirdest thing I got was a hunter in what appeared to be wearing snow white camo, walking around with a Crossbow 2 hours after sundown on public property. Look like it was a full moon when he was doing that... Nearly certain he was poaching

That’s wild! Last year I had two guys in white painters suits after hours with xbows coming through my one permission access hunting spot, people never cease to amaze me.

    May not be snowcamo guys.
I walk by several cams on the way in/out in fall camo in the dark and it often looks like I'm dressed in whites.

Not trying to be that guy Clint, but I thought you hunted that lottery property mid October?

Nonetheless I’m definitely rooting for ya man!

Crap, you're right. Went so badly I actually forgot about it. Been years since I have hunted early October.

The less than 2 hours was actually since Oct. 16th and was during what would normally be my rutcation.

I do know this, I will be applying for the special hunt every year and if I get drawn again that will be when I take my vacation time. I was a damned fool with it this year, that's for certain. Hindsight definitely at play here.

This buck will be a monster next year. He was on the cam several times over the three weeks I had it out. Great frame.

That is a great looking buck. To me his body looks 3 1/2. Definitely need a another look next year. Hopefully you puck him up for next season. I don't know for me that would be a hard deer to pass if he came by me this year! Haha

Just got a 1600lb alfalfa bale to feed throughout the winter. One bale should last close to all winter.

Is that a area where the deer have access to alfalfa during the summer and fall?
