I’m up for the afternoon sit. It’s 35 degrees and a light snow is falling. It feels great out.

I took AJ out for a perimeter 1 mile zoomy. Wanted to check tracks for Wednesday hunt. Not a single track. So dropped him of home and went behind house for the next mile walk. Not a single track until I hit the low swamp stand. Then many and just 10 yards from stand 2 fresh beds smack dabb middle of the trail..lol.
On walk back up hill I walked the PITA nieghbos and our line. He has the entire line posted up with regular and cellular cams just ft off the line pointing...just guess.. He has me waving. At him.
Seriously? I haven't hunted the area but once all year and that is only in the center of property as usual. Don't worry about what the deer may or may not be doing on my property! Worry about what they are doing on yours..
Anyways.. I'll be hunting the swamp stand this week. Things are frozen enough for me to drag a doe to the road for a pick up. Need a slight wind direction change .
    PS.
Got my attention...want to guess where this years enclosed blind builds will take place?

Just squirrels and a cotton tail speed from the stand, so far. On the drive, saw another owl and a Coyote eating a road killed deer on the main drag of a small town...

You are right. I’ve killed bucks in the 50s and 60s so I’m hoping to shoot one over 170 and didn’t want to end my 12 day hunt in the first 3 hours without trying to kill a Booner. I know I might have made a mistake.

Merry Christmas to the LFTS gang!...sorry a couple days late.

Lester - sounds like you're going to have a fun 12 days! Enjoy yourself. I hope your patience rewards you with a GIANT.

Page and Ranbow - congrats on the deer.

I could go out today or tomorrow for a doe with gun. Not sure I will. I have all I need. Thursday I head to Idaho for my niece's wedding. Right up by Canada....OUTDOOR wedding. She's 20 and proving her frontal lobe is not fully developed, or it is frozen. By time I return from the wedding (Jan 2nd), deer season will be closed. The weather might be warm enough to get out fishing from a boat. Maybe get on Erie out of Ohio waters. School starts back on the 9th, so I'll have some time. Or, maybe I'll head to northern Michigan to ice fish.

    Luke 2

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

Merry Christmas to you all. And to all....a good hunting season.

    Todd
