Let's see 5 yrs ago my furnace went cooput on Christmas Eve. Big snow storm prevented us from getting a new furnace to Jan 02 / 03. We had 5to 6 feet of snow
So this winter artic blast of - temps. I was a DA for forgetting to order propane. Ran out the day before Christmas Eve. One pipe froze and cracked and burst.

Christmas Eve propane delivered and the pipe fixed. It's always something going hey wire in my life around the holidays. Some yrs more than others.

Then getting screamed at by the wife, all wkend. Like I did this on purpose.
    Just venting a little.

    Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Santa brought me a new Badlands Monster fanny pack and some hand loaded bullets.

Stay safe and good luck if you are in the next few days.

Well that is awesome! My Dad got me a heated vest made in China. Yep. I put it on and couldn't even zip it up....size says "Asian XL"/"US Large". Lol...yeah I'm not fitting anything L these days so the vest went to my 14 year old who now loves it.

I’m down and back where it’s warm. I saw seven does/fawns and five dogs.

The dogs spooked the first three deer and two of them ran right by me. Then they doubled back. One was a button buck and the other was a doe fawn. I could have shot either of them but I don’t want to shoot a little one, even though the fawns are getting pretty big.

If I’m going to skin and quarter a deer in sub-freezing temps I want it to be big enough to make it worth the discomfort.

Had a brief Bit of excitement with a long doe. She came In on my right side so I had to make a bunch of small moves and she eventually caught me when she got to about 25 yd. No wind and Barely any cover
