How true, past a shooter buck and a couple of doe this year because they just wouldn't cross the line in range. The last buck I took was just 70yrds out in the wide open, but on the nieghbors. He walked the line going away unti he hit that 133 yrd mark and crossed over on us. Hard shot but legal deer to be proud of. I'll take a legal deer over an illegal one no matter how big every time
yup, its a comin' ^^^ .. winter IS HERE ... sat out last Fri. didnt see nuthin', hunt was somewhat ruined by an illegal hunter/stand (DNR confiscated the illegal ladder stand).. .. I called it quits for the season .. went down today and pulled the cam Ive had out since Sept. .. .. once Deer season closes I'll start chasing bunnies w/the shotgun and coyotes w/the 22-250 ..
I’m back in the same tree as yesterday morning going to hunt till 10 or so give it one last look for the buck from yesterday but everyone I’ve talked to said he’s going to live Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I’m up in Ohio, just had a spike come by. Got 2” of fresh snow. I’m tucked down into this bowl outa the wind, have an either sex tag. Looking for a good buck but by the end of the day a doe might get it. Took out the .350 today.
350 for the win! Mine came in yesterday. Got a 2 day late rifle season in the middle of January. Time to get it sighted in. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Spike and a bigger 6pt. If I didn’t know what was here I woulda shot him happily. Back at truck to eat a sandwich then moving across the road to a green small field that is surround by a thicket.
I’m out no luck finding that buck I’m sure it was just a flesh wound Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I took A.J. out for a zoom and to close blind windows, I keep them open in season to make dummies think twice. Well the gypsy blind is still open because there is a "cattle" path that goes within 4ft of 3 side of it....figures. We have 2 days left of late bow then the 25th to the first left.. Also crossed a fisher track and was able to watch 2 mature bald eagles hunting the farmers cut corn field next door. Wow that was a beautiful sight. Good luck guys
I'm in. Took a little longer to get in the snows a little deep. I've haven't hunted this spot in the evening yet. Tracks everywhere in the snow. West wind definitely not the greatest but the tracks are from every direction the whole way in and around my stand. Ready to roll.
3 does to my left out of range and in some thick just went through. Neighbor just texted me said he seen a good one up here last Friday he usually only shoots good deer so it has to be decent
