There starting to move. I just had a spike, a 6 and 8 point go by. They must be looking for a doe too.

Well I walked in 2 miles, circled around on that buck I jumped yesterday, and proceeded to get 1000 burs on me from chest high sticks. 2.5 hrs later I got in clean only to not be able find a single tree to hunt out of in that tangled mess of hell. Lol!

    Me today...

Missouri and all these darn hell things that stick all of your hunting clothes!

I remember the first year I hunted Misery back in 99. I told my dad on the phone that everything that grows out here tries to stick you, stick to you or kill you. I had an Osage orange thorn go through my boot sole once and it ended up between my toes. Just missed being a real bad day.

 I'm very familiar with those damn things. I'd hate to tackle that spot in the dark, that really looks like a nightmare! And no wonder he's bedding over there and surviving for years, he's no dummy

Gotta admit. I'm totally burnt out posting on the few hunting sites I visit everyday.
I love it when I'm balls to the walls in the "mood", but this time of year, I'd rather read the post's of others.
Been a great thread this year.
It sure ain't done yet for alot of members here but hearing "Arrow launched" and then reahing for my tablet every fricken 10 minutes all day for an update is kinda refreshing. Lol.
Our deer are in for a terrible winter. We got about 17" of the wettest/heaviest snow I've ever seen. When the cold hits next week, it'll lock food in for the rest of the winter..

Gonna go into "coyote mode" starting tomarro. 3 rifles ready to rock n roll.

VS, them burrs grow along our riverbottoms.
    Miserable things!!

I just got settled in on stand. 32 degrees and dead quiet this morning. 50 minutes until daylight. Any doe will do this morning. Headed back home after lunch. Christmas dinner with family tomorrow. Good luck out there today.

Cluster this morning. Set my alarm an hr layer than I wanted...but 15 minutes from bed out the door. Made it to my ground air an hr and change before sun up.

Heard some turkeys, have a few squirrels barking.

Cold, but no deer...yet. 30 yds from a nice scrape and a decent rub nearby.[IMG]

Lone doe came to about ten yards. She spent a good five minutes trying to figure out what I was and then just eased off. Was hoping she had a buck in tow, but nooooo

This late, she's been bred...and allowed so many deer in NC. Why didn't you shoot?

11 more turkeys but no deer. It’s been snowing the last 15 minutes.

Only looking to kill a buck at this point, but I really thought about it. She came back and stood around some more after too.
