Perfect morning ,43 , no wind, and I'm in the house. As you may have figured out,I do not sit much,. When I do I have my legs up due to past injuries. Knew I was in trouble when I tried to stand to get out of stand last night.after I finally got my knees ,hips and back to pop. I got down and was fine. This morning at 4 a.m. I couldn't put weightt on my legs and have a killer headache, and my right arm is numb, nerve issues. Looks like the saddle is coming out next hunt. This is why I made it in the first place Good luck guys...
Jealous Stuck at work Season opens tomorrow but I got shat to get done first. On the bright side, 161 (hopefully) days until retirement. The deers better look out next year!
I've watched 2 grey squirrels play grab a$$. And red squirrel come sit above my head about 12-18 inches. But I'm in a tree
Yesterday morning I sat in a blind that sits in Russian olive covered in Virginia creeper. Tons of berries. Had what I thought was a squirrel barking at me from behind my head. Drove me nuts until I reached around and shook a limb. It was a bird imitating a squirrel. Lol
My wood floor guy came back this morning all happy. Told me I pumped him up about hunting yesterday, so he drove to his father's house and promptly shot a doe after work. Haha.
7months here. Cant wait. I'm going to run my own property maintenance company as a retirement job, but come hunting season will be in the woods. Mowing ends about then and plowing hasnt started.
Though I did ding my truck in the dark backing in to park. Forgot about a 7" tree back there. Just became an expensive trip. I better shoot some deer to counteract the deductible.
Newtons 3rd law. Equal and opposite forces....run the front right portion of your truck into a 7 inch tree at the same velocity and the back should pop right out.
wife and I will be taking over her girls friends business and be making bear rugs (tapestries) or rugs from other critters. Been mulling over doing skull cleaning as the only guy around that does it is in ill health. Just not sure where I would keep the bugs and how to keep them warm in winter. Not going to be in the house! Also thinking about plaques for mounting turkey tails and maybe euro mounts.
