Thanks guys, I still can’t believe it. When the wind died down, I did a little rattling sequence. About 10 minutes later two little fawns came walking up, they were acting nervous. Couple minutes later, this brute came in following them. He wasn’t chasing them, he was casually munching locust pods, slowly working my way. My wind had to be just missing him by about 10’, but I couldn’t get a clear shot or when I did, he’d be facing me. I finally had a shot, hitting low but damn near cut his heart in half. He died in the middle of a bunch of little ravines, had a hell of a time getting him out of there. But I love this ****!
Good job FEB!. very nice late season buck! Congrats LC, you didn't disappoint. I actually though of "arrow launched" post as I sat in my stand. Lol. Took a putty knife and whisk brush in my stand this afternoon knowing it would be coated with ice/snow. It was. Took about 15 minutes to clear off the seat. Had 6 does n fawns come by at 5 yards. Act of God I didn't get busted. No bucks.
