Really wish the farmers around here would plant winter wheat. No one does it in our area. Once the beans/corn are gone you are screwed. I should really think of getting something planted next year.

Anyone in the northern region have intel on alfalfa in the early winter months? Curious what we should expect in ND next week. Does it die relatively soon after a few freezes?

Yesterday I didnt see anything the rest of the day, not even squirrels , very weird. Last night I finished mixing and processing the Doe. It's all in the freezer. 30lbs of grinding mixing and regrinding to make burger, bacon cheddar burger and sausage. Didnt get to bed till 2300. Slept in. Gonna wash my stuff this AM and go move two stands. I'll be out in the afternoon. Good luck AM killers.

Sitting on my land with the bow. Hear lots of gun shots, so they must be moving. I had one unknown cruise by an hr before dawn, and saw does in the field down the road around 5:30...just need some chasing....

Heard something quickly walking my way, got ready, and made the shot. Fifteen yards on a good size coyote with buck shot. 20221126_073323.jpg First one I shot this year. People around here will be unknowingly thankful because their chickens, cats, and such will be safer.

Saw a little 8 point. Thirty minutes into the hunt and I could already go home happy.

Another half hour than I need coffee and to string outside Christmas lights. Going to 54 today. Man dead quiet out here, save a few crow. Oh and another shot out by house. Winds would have blown my scent ahead of me the whole way in over there. Winds I my face here.

Nothing except another hunter. 60 yards away. He is on the ground standing. I'm up a tree 60 away he had no clue I was there. We r both in orange. Watched him walk down to me at day break.

After I coughed. He moved on. Over an hr. Before I coughed.
