T-minus 10min to shooting light. In the hitchhiker bucks area. Never seen him from stand or camera. Hoping today he passes by me to bed.

Did some freelance duck hunting around there back in the day. Turtle mountain area looked like a place one could fill a deer tag. Good luck and have fun!

Craving the smell of burnt black powder so the old TC Renegade is going to be in my hands today. Going to sit in my blind spot.

Rain has slacked off here and my cameras are popping off with a parade of little bucks. That's the most action those cameras have had all fall. I have to go see some extended family this morning, but I'll be back in later. Good luck guys and gals. Don't forget your turkey sammiches today!

Went out this morning and hung a stand for my dad for rifle season tomorrow. Ended up seeing one unidentified right before we picked the tree so hopefully that’s a good sign for him tomorrow

Rain ,wind, watching fog move in from the valley. Hunter next door left the stand he put on our line at 7.55. Assume he got tired of wind blown rain in his face. That or he glasses the computer room window and noticed me having coffee.. I do love the new NYS Orange law .
Well well, typing this...I see him high tailing it from the line to his place dragging a deer...
Hope it was a buck and he's finally gone.

Cutting up my sons Doe from Tuesday this AM. It is raining anyway. Supposed to stop at 11. Will be back in a tree by noon. Moon calendar says 1330 to 1530 is major deer movement today plus I figure they will get up after the rain is done.

That sucks. Maybe scout to the nearest hot food source closest to there. I guess they could be locked down. Idk, but hate you haven't seen anything.

I had to go toss some "parts "out where A.J. wouldn't find them and wow weather changed. Had all orange on anyways so grabbed gun for a slow stalk to new blind. Winds are bad. Got settled to hear trees snapping nearby. I think most tags were filled opening weekend so I expect lite movement. thinking time.

What I'm thinking is.. The grandsons will have a blast " camping" out here. I could put a 6' cot here.
Ok,ok..did make window openings a tad big. It works though. May need to replace clear vinyl with plexi that hubby just gave me. Clearer view when shut.

I have a lot of work to do to figure out the late deer movement. I've had real slow buck hunting over the past month. First thing I need to do in the off season is find thicker cover in every spot.
