oh no....those sob's will persist even after first frost--if it is a light one--and they'll make life miserable before that.
I've k I've killed 50 to send a message...they ain't listening. I've probably already been infected and cured of Malaria several times.
I’d love to but I didn’t get here in time yesterday to put my stand in the honey hole. I’m in an inside corner that was easy to get to this morning. There hasn’t been a camera here so it was a crap-shoot. I’ll be in the good spot this afternoon. Almost all of the buck pics have been afternoon/evening.
Two guys brought their outboard boat up off the main water. May be DNR employees. They are like 200 yds from me banging metal around. They flushed something into the swamp. Sounded like it was running toward me....been 15min since. Nothing.
Me at 0430: Taking the first tree stand selfie of the season.... Also me at legal shooting light..... "Bruh.....I have no shooting lanes"
Haha! I famous for that. Just breaking light and my first thought is what the Hell was I thinking! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Last year I had a bear permit and saw nothing. This year? Think it's going to be just like VS a couple years ago... Baited just off to the left out of frame. When it walked out, it hit my cam and turned it. LOL
This was only 30 yds from mu stand. I don't think I was too far off the deer. Maybe I should sit on this water hole when it is 95 degrees next week. And no one in the parking lot is a bonus.
Two of my persimmon were missed by the birds! It started out with 12 for a first fruiting.. pretty good size too but still very green. The kixi are ripening . And getting hit hard... had to break kept...they are so dang good!
Thanks guys for all the congrats! This buck came off the property I got last year mid season. I have done zero scouting and had never set foot in on this property in the month of September. I went there on the 12th to change camera batteries and pull cards. As soon as I got up in the area I typically hunt I jumped a nice 10 point and backed out. I then came back the next morning 9/13 and saw a bunch of deer but no bucks. Fast forward to the evening of 9/14. I was leaving my buddies house when he called and asked to go with. I told him I was gonna push into a new area and the tree selection was gonna be bad. We get there and end up doing a double sit in the same tree which was nice and crooked. Camera showed pretty steady activity in the area. With nice bucks and the ten point and some other bucks (dates wrong) With about 45 mins light left the tall buck came out of corn about 175 yards away and started to head in our direction. Both of us were just turned around watching this buck. As well as does which where all around us. I then caught movement coming through the woods / cornfield to my left and see rack. I immediately see it may be a shooter and grab my bow. I initially thought it was the ten. He then took his time and eventually came out to a trail which was one of many. We had previously walked all over trying to determine which tree we wanted to climb… ground scent was abundant but wind was golden. He know something was up and began to look around, eventually looking up in my direction. He then turned around with a purpose but did not run. When he turned around I drew back as he was again obstructed by foliage and trees. He then walk a little to his left quartering away it his vital were behind a tree. A set my pin on his shoulder and waited for him to take a step. Upon taking that step I sent the 530 grains of arrow and the Iron Will through lungs and blew out his opposite shoulder and immediately knew it was lethal hit. He then ran about 30 yards into a nasty swamp, went swimming, and fell over dead in about 30 seconds. Good luck to everyone out ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I took me a week to read 55 pages of LFTS ...you all have been busy. Congrats Holt and Lastoneout - so awesome to kill this early. Dandy buck. Here in SW Mich our bow season starts Oct 1. I've been shooting a bit. I think I'll paper tune this afternoon to make sure all things are aligned. I need to pick up a couple more packages of broad heads.
