Ran right to the driveway. Actually had to drag her back to the woods to clean her out and kicked dirt sticks and leaves all over the blood to hide the carnage.
There definitely was some blood there. Looks to have mostly come out of her mouth. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Saw 18 does and one spike tonight. My SIL came over to join me around 4:30 pm. He is needing meat for the freezer and decided to let the hammer fall. I told him to make sure he dropped them in the field as I didn't want to buggers this field up! Nope 2 shots at dark. And not a speck of blood anywhere either spot where they were standing. Had to look but nothing found. Ask him when he last checked zero on his Ruger m77. The answer was not good! Kinda pissed but understand everyone has a learning curve! The rifle is coming to my house tomorrow! It will shot straight and I will stick it back in his hand turkey morning!
99% sure it's a Remington 770. Tack drivers but the action feels like it's got kitty litter in it. what a great first deer. congrats to her and your family
Ah chit, we get to bring Metallica into the LFTS thread.... We're off to never never land..... Regressing there, so, Kill 'em All
hers is a 770. Look at the trigger guard and blow up the pic to see the finger grooves in the forestock. I, I mean, a friend of mine has a 770 in .300 WinMag...holy hell it hurts to shoot. But it will shoot MOA all day even with cheap ammo...altho you won't last that long. Cheap synthetic stock and magnum rounds makes you feel like you just got mauled by Chuck Lidel, not hung out with ChuckHawk.
I'll be rejoining this thread after tomorrow, I hope. I broke from my comfort zone and asked a coworker for permission to hunt a doe at his place. Told me to come out and kill one. Hopefully get out there Thanksgiving Day thru Sunday in some compacity, sense of shame for some reason reaping the rewards of others success. I don't know if it is pride or guilt effing with me when it comes to asking for assistance like this.
Don’t let pride or guilt rob you of good opportunity . If you lived in Pa I’d put you on a pile of deer!
I'm out with you VS! Time to shoot some does with the 450 BM. Absolutely beautiful morning, 25 degrees, clear skies, light S breeze, crunchy snow on the ground, and standing corn to my south. Ya know what that is....a recipe to KILL!
