    My son in law texted me this pic of my granddaughter Hailee who got her first deer a couple of days ago.

    It’s a lot better than my first deer.

    Caleb and I are back in for a late morning hunt. Going to stay till noon, get lunch and back out at 230 till dark. Movement has been so incredibly slow here.

    Those dang bucks I saw on Sunday have me itching to get back out! Thanksgiving morning is my only shot this week. But I know it's false hope, because they are just rut bucks out cruising. But going back to same spot because I just like to torment my self, haha.

    I got down at 11:00 after seeing nothing but squirrels.

    Today is the last day of modern gun season in Missouri and I’m glad. Im not going out this afternoon and I’m going to take tomorrow off to rest up.

    Thursday morning my wife and I will drive to Munford, Tennessee to spend the day with my daughter and her husband. Im excited because I’ll get to meet my newest granddaughter who was born 12 days ago.

    Her name is Penelope Lein. Her last name is pronounced “Lane”, so even though my daughter objects I’m definitely going to call her Penny. :lol:

    Why anyone would schedule numerous meetings the week of Thanksgiving is beyond me. Especially when an email will suffice. Keeping me out of a tree the next few days.

    Yes and I'm the idiot that recognized it early on and still moved and sat just off that spot. All 4 bucks walked into that ravine from different trails and crossed the same spot within 5 yards. What's the chances of that? And when all 4 crossed, they all left in different directions. Think I found some type of super funnel! Lol I won't make that mistake on Thursday.
