Good luck on the track I hope to read success of.

Is it wrong I regret accepting a promotion due to missing a 3 month long thread?

i wish! We have another that frequents the neighbors. I think His body almost as big as one i shot. Has split g’2’s. I just never saw him while on stand for sure on our side. Neighbor has about dozen pics of him. These are best i have. Velvet in august and blurry pic couple nights before i shot the first buck this year. No one has seen him for awhile. Might be relocated.

I'm pretty sure you'll put another or 6 on the ground before seasons end. Give 'em hell

Yeah it’s impossible to know when a big deer will show up. First pics I’ve got of him on our property this year.

Next year I will be taking days off around this date. This is the 2nd year in a row he’s shown up in daylight around this time. Last year it was 11/19.

Goes back to what I said earlier, many q big buck story starts out with he showed up at the same time every year. Finally made a mistake....

Kill him, not a single person not rooting for you.

My a$$ is flat and my body feels like a frozen pretzel after this past week of hunting in the unusually cold weather we have had. The grind is real and makes me wish I was a young man again! It will not defeat me!

I'll be sitting the green field again this afternoon in 50 degree temps enjoying the balmy weather and hoping something worthy gives me a chance to feel the rush that makes this sport what it is.

Good luck out there guys and gals. Stay safe and get yer rush on!

Spoken like an old warrior. I hope i can still grind like some of you older guys do when i get there. Sounds like a solid plan too. After all this cold and probably a trickle off in the rut they may need to recharge a bit b4 round 2 kicks in. The warm ups are just as good as the cold dumps in my limited experience. Good luck!

Eight minutes until legal light. I’ve been set up for 45 minutes. It’s more comfortable since my new insulated boot covers arrived yesterday.

I don’t have high hopes for today but I’m here and any deer will do.

Sorry for the delay. I did not find him.
Found maybe 15 drops of blood in the first 40 yards and nothing after he stopped.
He followed a main deer trail in fresh snow.
I found a few white hairs on the arrow.
Guessing I zipped him low.we grid searched my whole property.
So bummed out but I feel he's just fine.
I've had 2 chip shots at him in 3 years and flubbed both.
I may have to rethink my love of hunting thick cover when it's cold out. Things just seem to go "wrong".
    The grind continues.

Third time is a charm BnB. You got this. Keep your head up and it'll be all the sweeter when it happens.

I bought these. They’re pretty much identical to Arctic Shield. I was going to order Arctic Shield but these were the only ones I could get shipped quickly.

I fly in and out of Punta Gorda a few times every year, there are some BIG deer on/near the airport grounds. Every bit as big-bodied as up here.

those guys are some ground killing mofos. No idea how they don't get pegged all the time. I can barely blink without getting picked off, they sneak up and pounce like mountain lions.

    Good for them.

As Thanksgiving approaches, I am immensely grateful for so many things in my life. As a bachelor living alone, for 3 months I spend more time with the LFTS gang than any one person. I LOVE bowhunting. As a teacher the number one thing I wish I could do, but can't, is taking week long hunting trips. I have a large circle of high quality hunting buddies and I talk and chat a lot with them, but I keep you updated more. I hear more about your time afield and lives than just about anyone. This is a special time of year for me and the LFTS family makes it more amazing. I am thankful for all of you and I thank all of you for spending your valuable time with us. I pray this weekend you get to spend quality time with family and friends and really enjoy their company.
