I shot a nice 8pt this year in January. Latest I have ever shot a bow Buck. They were on a string headed to food and no one else was hunting then, most had given up . I cant wait for late season. I know right where to go now.

Rut seems to finally be in full swing out in the foothills of NC. Kind of funny seeing folks post about late season already. I know, I know, rut is on the tail end for some of you. Just weird how different places get hot at different times. I'm hoping to end a buck Friday. Till then, good luck y'all!

I’ll need to get the brother in law or father in law out here if I want to go after him since I already got a buck. We might get out with our muzzle loaders in a few weeks.

Got my BIL to come out with me tonight after showing him. Got in way late.

I just passed what would have been my biggest with the bow by a long shot. Probably a 130” 10. Came in grunting and made a scrape at 45. Let him get into the willows and gave a few deep grunts and a snort wheeze. Came in on a string to 30. Let him walk away and called him in again. Did that 2 more times! He wanted a fight so bad.

Screenshot from a video I took of the 10 I passed. Tonight changed my thinking about how long the rut can last around here that’s for sure. Was not expecting that!

The girl that hunts the neighboring property to our private killed our biggest rack buck (my number 2 ). Hes easily close to 170”. One of the other neighbors has been after him for a few years now. Same one my buddy was full draw on and his bow derailed. Congrats to her. Happy for the girl she kills a lot of big ones.

Dude this is awesome. A lot of Those 3.5/4.5 y.o. Bucks really fall for the calling. Especially the more aggressive ones. I love calling them in.

@Suncrest08 The one i killed last saturday (11/12) . His rack was nowhere near this deers but he was an absolute brute. I had him on camera this summer and he instantly became my number 1 target. He ran the show. Neighbor watched him run this deer the girl killed right off the foodplot. Big old bully that had to go.

Heck ya man. The deer ya killed was a tank. I just mis interpreted and thought you had a bigger framed deer than that one the neighbor killed. I was chomping at the bit to see it! You had a killer season.
