Went out today by the duck blind to shoot my savage 220 with a buddy. Total of 3 slugs shot out of 3 guns so that didnt take long. They were all right on the money. Decided to go for a boat ride back to a spot ive always wanted to hunt back behind our duck blind. Its a funnel / underpass where railroad tracks go over a big creek. The only feasible way for deer to cross is through the tunnels on the side of the bridge. Perfect ambush spot. I have a doe tag left but im bucked out. I hung a cell cam and Probably monitor and tell one of my buddies to hunt it. There was big buck sign in there and nobody hunts it. So far just a big doe on cam but dang it! I pointed the cam right at the railroad tracks! Now ill get pics every time a train rolls through! Doe looks open mouth but never did see anything after her.
I don’t post in here much but follow it every day. Shot my biggest buck to date this past evening. He was chasing a doe all over and finally presented me with a 30 yard shot. Ran about 80 yards and fell over. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Is there a better shooting shotgun for deer? I love mine so much Congratulations Justin! Fred, Maybe if you shot, the outcome would have been less than ideal. Maybe he or a better buck will give you a slam dunk chip shot… Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

Despite being up with my newborn in the middle of the night I am set up!!! Feels great to be back out, it’s foggy, damp and about 37 degrees. Set up over a scrape that had 3 deer hit it yesterday morning and a doe get chased by it last evening. Hoping they are moving early have to climb down by 8 to get to work… my wife is the real MVP here for letting me get out! Good luck guys shoot straight!
You got that right on all accounts. I'm looking forward to some great tasting back straps in garlic butter. He's going to hang a bit though, it is freezing out there and my arms and legs are.....wobbly..lol It occurred to me while dragging him backwards up that hill ,all said and done, the way my shoulder and upper arm muscles feel I may be able to draw a 70# bow now...hahahahaha That pic makes me hungry
