    I'm up! Hunting the old cursed property again. I'm in the same tree as last year that I broke that curse on a doe. Same thing, got a buck bed about 40 yards out in cattails, but would take him walking a very specific line to even have a shot. Not even sure there is anyone home this time of year. Absolute ton of green briar being browsed on the way in. Should be some does in here. Anything is game.

    The view for the evening. All that water weed below is about waist high. There are 2 persimmons trees in that brushy tree stuff, 1 has some fruit. You can see that dead tree at top of pic, that is were the buck bed is. That's all 10 foot tall cattails in about 1 acre spot. Feeling good! 20220914_154708.jpg

    No rain no rain on radar ,yet...... I have another few minutes to think on this seeing season close is around 8pm. 7:52 to be exact

    Just had a doe and 2 fawns walk my trail right to my tree. Stood at 5 yards for about 10 minutes. Walked back the way they came.

    The worst possible direction for them to come. But that was were most of the sign was.

    I assume the fawns were too young to be without momma, or, a shot would have happened?

    I usually make that call when I see the size of the fawns. This was iffy. They got me off guard. Wasn't ready and didn't expect anything to come from that direction. They were 10 yards before I saw them and walking straight to me. I was sitting and didn't have my bow in hand. So nothing was in my favor, haha.

    Decided seeing cams have doe here mornings and nights I might as well burn 1 of my 4 days on one area...it will be a touchy cross wInd but biggest beans are infront of hub.

    1 hr. 20 mins. To go. Only thing that has come in are rain showers, sun,showers,sun with gusts. Think I just heard hubby get home. Oh boy he'll be grumpy if I get one and grumpy if I don't and have to hunt more evenings. His natural state when I'm hunting..lol
    Good thing I made him broccoli cheese soup with marinated chicken breast and corn for dinner. I think I'm getting skunked tonight.
    It's hard when the neighbors sanctuary is sitting smack dab in the middle of two 50 acre fields of cow corn. And she is sitting on 100 acres..actually I think there is another 50 of corn next to her farthest line up the hill. On the other side of that is a pine plantation. Let's see if I have any luck in the cards....

    Same doe and 2 fawns came back. They must bed really close to here. This time he fawns got to 15 yards and momma wouldn't come any closer then 30 yards. They definitely could smell where I walked in.
