Heading out a couple hours before work to a new stand my son and I put up Saturday. Dress warm. Not being to picky today.
I'll be headed out soon for one last walk down into my valley this year. Maybe this morning one of the bucks will happen to wander into the danger zone. After this sit I'll be packing up and heading home and I can't tell you how much I look forward to getting home this time. I'm pretty worn out.
Been legal shooting light here for about 20 minutes. My dad isn’t coming out this morning because of the cold and strong wind. I don’t blame him. Got the heated vest and heated pants cranking!!
Doe, fawn and a spike so far. When that doe saw that spike she took off like she was shot. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I had the safety off until...I saw the spikes he literally did a circle past and in range of old reliable 2 then me in 1 and under Rivers blind. Sorry blurred but it's cold and I'm a little shakey
Just getting good light here. 32° and calm, perfect morning! Now I just need the cervids to cooperate Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
That spike used up two passes. He doesn't get a third after Tuesday and I don't have at least a doe down. If he crosses my path again that is

Good luck to all today. I won't be out until the pm shift today. Hope you all have a Killin time!!!!!
Had a spike chasing a little doe all around me for a bit. Pretty entertaining, she was running for her life. Too bad she wasn’t a bigger doe. Had her at 10 yards, wasn’t a fawn, but still looked small. Cold but beautiful morning
Back to work for 4 days then off for three… good luck out there folks and stay SAFE! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
That was fun. Three does walked in from the south. They were 30 yards away when a nice 8 point came down the east hill and busted them up. He stood at 50 yards behind brush so I had no shot even with my 45-70. He turned and chased the does back south. Then another buck came down the same ridge and joined in. Didn’t get a good look at the second buck. He looked like another pretty good 8. I’m gonna sit for another half hour. Maybe they’ll run back through here.
Thanks for all the positive vibes y’all!! Nothing moving through this funnel. Still cold clear and windy. Someone kill something!!
