I’m sitting in the backyard blind again, didn’t feel like sitting in a 15 mph wind 28 degrees and drizzle. Good luck everyone

who says their 'sighting in' , I agree with the education of the critters, but where I'm at, it is common to heae WWIII a day or two before opening gun.... also, very common around here to here a single shot close to dusk the afternoon before opening day gun
    :biggun:...

Had a what turned out it to be a tiny one point come barreling over the ridge at me. Tought was a doe tbeing chased, so started looking for a buck behind. It gets in front of me at 20 yards before I see a pathetic unicorn antler. Before I come draw back to shoot, as an antlerless, it hits my scent trail books it straigjt away from me.

About an hour to go. One deer cooperates, and I am shooting. I don’t care what at this point.

Got a forkie in range. Too small for my property. Probably would shot it at my public spot this year

Team 14 has another buck down in team thread. Hard to tell on spread etc., but I'm seeing 14-15pts based on the only pic posted. Depends on the little sticker on one G2. Could be more stickers on the bases as well that are not shown

Grace had a spike in front of her for quite some time at 7yds. She let it walk, waiting for bigger.

I’m up. 2-1/2 hours to last shooting light. A bit more fresh snow, lots of tracks since I was here last weekend. It is one of those super calm, can hear a pin drop type evenings. Will have to be really careful if something comes in that I want to shoot.

I’m out, nothing else. Was pretty cool to see one of them at 3 yds in front of the blind.

    Not a damn thing tonight.
Buddy had a busted off 4/6 come in at 4, then a small basket right at dark.

First all day sit in quite some time. I saw 4 deer between 9 and 10:30, climbed down at 11:30 because I forgot my chances in the truck and was back in by 12:15.

I started seeing deer around 3:45 and all hell broke loose. I ended up seeing 8 different bucks including definitely 2 maybe 3 shooters. One being the giant 8 I went in there to hunt. I watched him chase does and chase off other bucks for over an hour.

I threw everything I could at him but the wind was too stiff, finally about 20 minutes before the end of legal the wind died down considerably and I threw out some desperation grunts and a snort wheeze, here he came. It took this deer over 25 minutes to cover 90/100 yards and by the time he got in range it was too dark to see my pins.

    Awesome day all in all!

    Lady forge great deer!

I had a young buck work through right before last light. Fork on one side and a drop spike on the other. Then 13 turkeys roosted all around me. That was a first for me! There were 2 does at my truck and about 10 does at the end of the driveway. Weird evening!
