    Best of luck to all who are out today. I'll be out for an evening hunt after work. Should be getting close to pre-rut activity, the week of Thanksgiving is usually our full on chase phase period.

    About 7:45, Grandpa came by. It was so windy, I couldn’t hear him walking. He was a 40 yards before I saw him. Tried to move into position to shoot before he crossed my ground scent and he picked me off and was gone. Big 9 point that may have been a broken 10. About 16” wide and his G3 on the left was at least 10” probably was 120”+ and 130” if he had been a 10 point.

    Would have been a taxidermy bill. Nothing since then.
