Not only is @LittleChief a deer killer, he is also a decent bass fisherman. Tonight’s dinner courtesy of his time on the lake. Taste pending on his cooking skills.

Going by a previous post of his freezer stock, I'd be willing to bet he can cook it as well as catch them. Only caveat would be if the front is moving through amd the winds are fighting it, not much you can do about that.

So I have been relatively quiet of late. I am 7 days into my vacation and have not set foot into the woods. Completely blindsided on Monday as I had a notice on the front door that they would be doing sewer lateral inspections over the next 3 days. Have been overloaded with stress all week, I know how my luck goes with these things and it isn't for the better. Apparently many houses with basements have been having back ups after heavy rains and they think it is a result of faulty laterals. Made it clear that the home owner is responsible for the lateral from home to connection to city sewer. In my case that is 100 feet of lateral with 24' being under concrete slab. I have a full basement so it is at least 6 feet deep.

Having my water main burst earlier this year and having to replace it just added to the stress level. Sunday I'll be pulling the 4 wheeler and boat out for pictures in preparation I need to sell them if I get notified my sewer system is in disrepair.

I've never had back up in the basement so hoping that is a good sign and they finally showed up today for the inspection. Didn't have the stomach to go out and ask for results, but had a bit of relief as to my understanding their camera made it all the way to my foundation. Was supposed to do water injection above the line in 3-5 places but only did 1 about 5' inside the property line.

They marked where the line is and only had 1 area of writing that looked like c/o hoping that meant clean out location but no clue. They never came back and marked anything else or had more guys come in to look at things.

First time ever going through such and still nervous as hell. I can only imagine it would be $12k plus if my lateral has enough damage that it needs replaced. With my luck I am totally expecting such. All the gas money I put in the safe is now waiting in limbo and I'm all in on the cold front and full tank I have has since last Thursday.

2 hunts and my season is likely over pending results.

Belongs in the rant thread and future posts will be, just explaining my absence here, my favorite thread of all.

    Bummer Clint.
If inspections come back bad, WOULD YOU have to pay for it?
    That's a huge blow.

0245 45 degrees, dropping pressure due to Nicole the whore coming through later this afternoon. I'm going back to the same woods again because my dad is going this morning and I don't want to leave him high and dry. Good luck y'all!

Happy Veterans day to all my brothers and sisters who have served.

Im up! Great quote here joe. Thank you and thank all others who have served our country. As jacked up as it may seem its still the best one on this spinning blue and green ball we’re on. Good luck everyone. Im still debating what my game-plan is. Headed to the porcelain throne to do some ciphering.

I'm up, getting ready. Sitting a new spot today. We shall see. Temp is 53 I believe. Rain is forecasted for around 10 am. If rains hard I'll be out, if not around 11.

Thx you to the all veterans on here. I sure do appreciate everything you've done for this country. Esp the ones who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

    Good bless

Gonna kill the wife. She had couple of her girlfriends over later last night. Walk out into garage and it reeks like cigarettes. I cant stand that smell. And all my hunting stuff is right out there. Barf

The weather geeks were wrong about the low temp. Was supposed to be 33. Its 47. The projected high was to be 40.

So if i do get rained on, it wont be so cold. Rain looks to be ending just about the time i plan to crawl into my stand. I have a scrape about 30 yards from where i plan to sit.

Hopefully, Mr. Buck will come by and freshen it as he looks for his girl friend.

    Wont be LFTS

All setup. I’m on a morning run of a buck I played cat and mouse with last year. I’ve seen him use this run a few times when he cuts my trail on his way back to bed. Let’s hope he cuts my scent trail again this morning and uses this run. Good luck everyone!!
