    Might be a buck tending a doe in the swamp. She keeps standing up tail curled all the way to her back. No horns yet.

    Stand I was in this AM has been there 3 years, sat it maybe 6x and never seen a shooter buck, only deer I saw were 40 yards off. So early this afternoon I moved stand maybe 75 yards closer to old clover plot, tons of fresh rubs, and tracks... this is fresher than it looks on cam and there are others a couple days old at most... for reference, my hand is 11" pinkie to thumb. I can palm a basketball. This rub is an easy 25" on a 5" diameter tree:

    But...I can see and hear a deer moving less than 30 yards from my previous location from this AM...

    :rant:

    State/Public Land ....7:50 this AM this guy came thru the funnel .... who says you 'need' ranch pixie wt. arrow for penetration and breaking bone .. mine is 430 grs 287fps... this was with a Slick Trick Mag. ... this shot destroyed the leg bone still got penetration and it did poke a hole in the opposite side but didnt poke out ... had numerous deer within range this week, gun starts Saturday.. I'm done and dont have to fight the orange army (yea !) .... will go back out for a Doe AFTER gun is over (2+weeks) .... vac. # 2 ends Sat. ....

    8pt
    161 lbs ( not rutted up, no swollen neck yet, tarsals were not dark but looked used, had trees bark on its burrs)
