Haven’t hunted since Monday and won’t be able to get out until Friday. I have friday, Monday, and Tuesday off which takes care of the last of my vacation. I think Thursday after I get off of work I’m going to go in and hang my mobile stand in an open oak flat on the south side of thick bedding for the Incoming NNW for an all day sit on Friday for this beef cake. But I would also not pass up this buck if he happened to stroll by I believe that these two deer are the ones that got in a tussle a few weeks ago on camera Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Youngest got sick yesterday so I go into Dad mode and take care of her. Alarm hits at 4am and I woke up sick. Hoping it's just a head cold. Gonna be 80 degrees today. Debating as to whether to burn 3 gallons of gas for a quick 2 to 3 hr hunt in 80 degree temps this pm.
That is unfortunate. Had that happen 2 years ago… I ultimately ended up missing him at 25yds. I’m after a mature deer, not just the antlers so I took a shot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree but I have to juggle a two day soccer tourney this weekend and wife who has games on Fri and Sunday. Gonna push it hard from Fri to Sun. Sleep deprived guaranteed.
Take the day off and relax…. This weekend should be good! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My uncle just shot a good buck this morning dogging a doe. Hes been hunting hard and struggling like all of us. Can change in an instant. Heres the one he shot. (Not the one on the right)
Wind shift happened. looks like part of day 5 and all of day 6 are gonna be washout with Nicole the gutter tramp coming through. Should give me time to get some school stuff sone so I can make it out on Monday.
Going to get down and do a simulated buck fight- do I lower bow down JIC I get a buck to come screaming in, or leave it in tree so it's ready to go the moment my butt hits the seat? I'm in a ladder stand this AM so it's easy up/ down
