Don’t feel bad Ridge. I just got back from getting my Lone Wolf hang-on, it is going to the rifle camp with me. I told myself not to forget anything, made sure I had my stick quiver, my lineman’s belt, gloves. Got the tree, set up my bottom sticks, start to climb up and look at the padlock attached to the steel cable attached to the Lone Wolf. Any guesses where the key to said padlock was??? In my pack, back at the truck! Boneheaded move! Ha ha Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Ya know, my season just may force hubby into actually hunting this gun season. I put the last two jars of venison veggie soup I canned last year in the crock pot to warm before I left the house today. He's getting sick of chicken, pork and cod...lol
I've forgot plenty of things going out hunting. Most wasn't worth going back for. That was definitely worth going back for, lol!!!!!
Well, at least this is better than the time I went all the way to Kentucky, got my stands hung and got ready to go only to find that my quiver was still at home.
That's a big green field and not a single animal in it. In fact absolutely dead quiet..ok this is a little creepy. I'm really hoping that low hum are bugs and not in my head...lol
my boots seem to be the item that doesnt make it into the vehicle - the hunt before last i was hunting in my crocs!
Baby Squirrel do, do, do, do… Baby squirrel do, do, do, do Little less than two hours to go, start moving deer.
Had my tree all picked out. Big red oak. Strap was 2 inches too short. And yes that joke went through my head too. Anyway, all set up in a slightly less of a size queen oak, and looking for something to stick. Sorry had to keep it going. I may be forgetful, but I got thee jokes.
I would abandon that spot/plan and find something different. Your physical health isn’t worth it. Do some escouting and find a new spot to dig into that might be easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You can sure tell the gun hunters are rolling in. Gunshots are ringing out as they sight in their rifles at camp. There goes the peace and quiet.
