Just the lone doe on the state land tonight. People are right when they say you’ll never know what to expect I’ve seen some odd things so far tonight was no different. As I’m about 50yds from my truck I see a car pull up behind. It keeps inching closer like it’s trying to read my plates or something. They leave before I can get out to see what’s going on. I try to track them down the road but they pulled off somewhere. I don’t think they ever got out of the vehicle when they were by my truck I was worried because I have my climber and boots in the back and some atv ramps, everything was still there.

Ky trip is coming to an end. Hunted hard for a week. Seen loads of deer just nothing I came here to shoot. It ain't always about killing em. Had a blast. Here is a few pics from the trip. 20221102_091354.jpeg 20221102_152003.jpeg 20221105_112418.jpeg 20221106_164613.jpeg 20221106_073739.jpeg 20221106_065148.jpeg 20221103_100612.jpeg 20221105_111900.jpeg 20221107_065641.jpeg 20221105_103007.jpeg

Worse than I thought, or better, depending how you look at things. There is only fat on the arrow, white hair, smells like fat, tracked for 20 yards and found 1 drop of blood. I already had tomorrow off. I will hunt in the morning and then come over here, different property, and check it out. Seems like merely a flesh wound.

Look at that! First day of LFTS and you shoot a deer. Good luck on recovery.

Timing of the Full moon and ridiculously warm temps. Last year it wasn't full until 11-19. Saving my vacation until next week, much lower temps predicted

It's because I haven't been in the stand yet, lol. Come Saturday, that will all change!

im back home - nothing for me tonight but it was a beatiful evening. As i was leaving, i could make out a big body moving thru the cut corn about 150 yards away but too dark to see much of antlers. I feel i wasnt aggressive enough when sitting. if it was a buck, i may have had a shot earlier in the evening..

Well, it looks like we may be in for one hell of a snow storm starting Wednesday eve into Friday.
Possible 20 inches of snow and high winds.
If it happens, it'll basically shut me down as I doubt I'll get back to my cabin.
Those thoughts were going through my head sitting this evening.
I know my team needs points but I just couldn't do it.

As much as I hate pink, I hate blaze orange even more.

Good luck on the tracks guys. 7328ab06-62c6-47cd-b998-11914401e875.jpg

Sounds a little bitter sweet. I’m guessing flesh wound. Good luck tomorrow
