Alright guys all setup and I actually have 2 bars, so I can post updates some. This sit is in same area as last night just about 150 yards closer to the swamp. It is mainly a observation sit. I'm backed up against a small creek and can see about 75 yards in all directions. Just need to get a better idea of direction these deer are coming from. Lot of old and new tracks in the creek, so still a possibility of a shot tonight! Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Well guys opening for doe...didn't go out. Yesterday's Doc. Appointment and blood work wiped me out. The person that took my blood left me with the ENTIRE inside joint area of elbow black and blue with blood. I look like a junky from a B rated drug flick..then there's the Holy hell, a week.of rain and the Hot weather...garden blew up on me.hot with flies and bees elsewhere so I picked everything to make V8 and another 5 gallons of plum tomatoes To go in it. Worked on the last blind and pizza for dinner. Pics of blind will be in another thread. Doe on cam at dawn and dusk right in front of a hub blind. I say this because rainis due from tonight through Wednesday.I think I may be very happy about having enclosed blinds this season...looks like a fall of rain.
Finally saw deer! Just had 3 does come out of the swamp. They were coming to me but turned and walked past at 25 yards. Then ran up to a oak flat behind. Good sign maybe something bigger will follow later. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Ended the evening seeing about 12 deer. 2 bucks and 1 was a brute. Going out tomorrow to throw up some cams where they came out at.
I would. I’d want a better look at him and maybe determine a travel pattern. I’d also want to know what else might be coming through that spot.
Get a good snap shot of him. I am new to this soybean field and this was the first time I stepped foot on it so I want to setup some cams around the field where the deer came out at. Will let me get at least somewhat of an inventory of what is there or how many deer frequent the area.
Slugger it may not be worth the intrusion just to get get a pic. All it takes sometimes him smelling you and could be gone. You already know he is there. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
Yes especially since this is the new to me property. Tonight was the first time I stepped foot on it. Very excited to see whats out there.
No stories of bloodshed. Maybe tomorrow. My live form the stand contribution involves milling up live edge oak and hickory. It’s Not better than treestand time but still fun.
Raining here today, so perfect to just have a family day and clean up my gear. Anyone getting out today?
