I don’t like them either. I’ve heard they taste like chicken. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
My son is on stand and is wondering the same thing. In my humble opinion, this time of year anything could happen anytime if there is a buck cruising looking for some love, but as far as general deer movement goes, with the moon being close to full and the nights being so illuminated, the deer are most likely bedded down already by the time we get in the stand. I told my son to sit until noon today. The peak of the moon underfoot period is from 9:31 to 11:31 this morning. If he doesn't see anything by noon I'll have him get down, come in and be back on stand no later than 3:00 for the moonrise minor period which starts at 3:41 pm. All day sits cover all bases, of course, but multiple all day sits is tough on anyone and it's difficult to actually enjoy the camp experience doing that.
Just had one come by that has had his ass beat!! Right side broke off and right eye is poked pretty bad. Cuts all over his face. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah, it looks like he took a beating. One of my 10 points showed up on camera October 25th at night. Evidently he encountered someone bigger because he's not a 10 point any more. He's now an 8 point.
Thats it for me this morning. Gonna pull couple cards and head to the house. Good luck !! Hope to check in later to some kills
