Any of you boys miss the time change? Don't be shy, admit it. Good luck to everyone today. I've got 6 more days and I'll be hunting my old stomping grounds back in Ohio, can't wait!!!!!

Heading to a new spot on a property I hunt and coming in from a different direction. 67 and windy. Had a shower pass through a bit ago. I’m waiting till 1st light to go in so I’m not stomping all over the place not knowing where I’m going to set up for sure. Taking the the folding chair and xbow. Here’s a pic of the map I circled where I think I want to be.
All set here. The vicious winds died down substantially, but still have 5-10 mph winds. Cooler than expected, low 40s, so that's better than yesterday's 61. Killing time!
I was all set to be on stand with 45min to shooting time. I bumped two yesterday so I decided to go in a different way. Guess what, bumped two today as well. Good time though cause neither ran. So I stood still till the sun came up. The one deer, a small buck, was never more than 50yds away. It stopped for what seemed like eternity Buck I could hear it pee and taking a step every so often. By the time it was sun up I could see it had moved to about 25yds away, was broad side and had a small rack. It eventually bounded off and I continued on to the stand. Was fun just standing there listening to how quietly they can cover 25yds. The second deer was above me on the ridge also about 50yds off and slowly walked away before the sun came up.
I love the time change! It's light in the morning. I do a lot of hunting and ice fishing. It's nice to get home about 6pm and still have time to take care of the house.
First deer spotted. A lone spike out cruising. Went by at 45 yards. Hit a licking branch on edge of marsh then went out into it. Just now had a red fox come by at 20 yards. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Im at the plot stand where i botched the first shot of the season on that big doe. Havent been up here since. It’s completely tore up with scrapes on my walk in.
38* here and a 15mph wind. Perfect. Strong winds today. Gusts to 50. Good time to get in the thick stuff. Shooting light at 6:40. I'll go in at 6:30.
