    Windier than heck here. Sitting in the corner of a field where two fence rows meet at a ridge. Had one of our shooters chase a doe across the field before legal shooting time and then come back shortly after.

    Just had a coyote go by at 30. Couldn’t grt my bow on it fast enough. Son didn’t want to shoot it 5 minutes into light.

    I hate the whole internal clock thing.

    I stayed up celebrating alone last night until 12:10 am thinking I’d sleep in.

    Nope. 5:15 rolls around and I wake up and can’t get back to sleep.

    Now I’m just sitting here hoping to get a text from @virginiashadow letting me know he needs the deer cart.

    Lot of deer walking around in this swamp. Can’t see what they are yet.

    Told myself if it’s not going on my wall I’m not shooting. Now that I’m up here my finger is feeling mighty itchy. Not sure what’s going to happen.

    I had that happen one year. It was really close, within 150 yards and happened about 30 minutes before light. I ended up knowing the guy that did it. He said he climbed up, pulled his rifle up and loaded it. When he did he accidentally had his finger on the trigger and it went off. Little crazy!

    Faint signal. Couple muzzleloader shots and every squirrel in the county around my stand. Wind it’s inconsistent and not the direction predicted! Sitting in a nice hardwood stand on the edge of the forest…Let’s go!
