I'll be giving it up for the night here soon, but before I do I wanted to say thanks for all of the congratulations. I don't have any idea what's going on this year but I've seen more deer here this trip (including bucks I couldn't shoot) than I ever have. Like I said, Greg was hunting 60 yards away and the deer just piled in. The ones Greg was willing to shoot just didn't go his way, but he did get to watch a show.

I have to admit that I'm disappointed in myself on that second one. It was pretty dim and I honestly thought I was shooting a mature doe, not a little one. I said I wasn't going to shoot a fawn this year and I ended up doing it by mistake. Ah well, it's a deer and it'll be good eating. @bucksnbears - the little one might have been a jackrabbit but the first doe wasn’t.

Good luck to everyone who is going to be going out in the morning. Like I said before, I'm going to take some time off and be a camp rat for at least a few days. Well maybe a day. Well, at least tomorrow morning.......

    Good luck everyone!

I’m starting my drive to SD. I won’t be in a stand until Monday but I can’t wait. It’s been to long.

Just got on stand with 45 minutes until shooting light. It sure is warm this morning. Calling for a high of 78 degrees today. Sure doesn’t feel like November.

What a cluster eff….. all the leaves that have fallen have covered up the rocks and flat rocks on the trails making my e bike once again useless . I was able to go 3-4 miles per hour . Whatever I’m set up in my deep spot on cardiac ridge. Had to stop a few times on the walk up and use a defibrillator to get me going again. (I am such a fool for trying to take the easy way out by getting an ebike) 5 minutes till legal shooting light. Good luck everyone! Good luck @alenhard15 !!

Got an hour until shooting. Sitting in stand near my box blind in case wind gets too high and/or rain starts. I just NEED to be hunting today.

Last night I didn't see any deer and the small property south of town. I used to hunt an adjoining property and for a year or 2 it was a big buck opportunity. The lady passed away, so no more hunting her property - it'll be divided and 3 houses built. BUT I checked the camera by the tree I sat in last night - it's an older looking buck. Sorry for poor quality, it's the best I could do. Screenshot_20221104-214706_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20221104-214559_Gallery.jpg

LC!! You da man - nice double.

    Gonna skip this morning.
    I've only got one stand that's a good a.m. one for a s.e.wind.
My neighbor will be in a stand about 100 yards away.
He's 80 years old and a great guy.
Me sitting there could effect his hunt and I don't wanna do that.
It'll be live from my cabin windows for me.
    (And that ain't all bad)

Gun sEason starts today but there are very few around here that do it. It's real calm out so I can hear shots from a few miles away.
Be surprised if I hear 20.

    Good luck all.
