Best wishes and enjoy. That's sounds strange but you'll know what I mean when you have that bundle in your arms and tears on your cheeks....

Pheasants are going wild in this swamp grass this morning. Flying all over the place.

Holy crap. I didn’t know I was setting up in Home Tree.

At one point I had one squirrel above me staring and one on a tree 10 feet to the left staring. It felt like they were planning something.

Give me another hour or so squirrels and I’ll be gone. This spot sucks anyway.

I didn't go out ,warm and where I wanted to go was a bad SSE wind. Last night nothing, but I kept hearing a combine up across the "howler" and on next hill over behind me. About a mile. Made me happy more corn gone to hide and feed in =more hill wide movement.
Now this morning I'm looking out the kitchen window and see the giant JD pulling the manure tanker across the field above ours. It doesn't look like they are tilling in ,just spraying over. And headed our way. Now that means in these Winds a very crappy few days in our house...but no deer roaming those fields at night. Now they will be in the woods traveling the woods.
Oh my mid 70's SSE,breezes and rank manure...little sleep tonight....lol

The bucks are moving! Keep at it fellas.

Had 2 close friends both drop mature bucks yesterday. Talked to both of them right before there hunts and both moved in and got close and out of there comfort zone. The result was the same for both and rewarded with big bucks!

Moral of story, be my friend and you will shoot all the bucks! No just kidding. Just make the moves need and get in there. It's the rut and anything can happen! Good luck guys and gals! I will be on stand this afternoon.

Rookie move....didn't set 2 alarms and apparently slept through the one I did set. Normally, I don't do crap like that. Pretty mad at myself....trying to formulate a plan now.

Mid-day? Worried I'll blew em out if I go now.

Can't kill them from the couch...but maybe make it a temp set (explore a new spot) and the move midday to your desired location.

Guy just climbed down with his climber and left. Will have to be more aware from now on. He was right on the property line.
