If it wasn't November 1st I don't know if I'd be out. It is warm for sure. If I was fortunate enough to get a deer I might just eat it where it fall. I'm sure the meat would be close to medium. This stand needs to be rehung it makes a lot of noise and I knew it did last year and I put it off.

Now 2 spikes. I don’t think they like each other. Could be a good show

Scrapes. Bur oaks. Funnels. Trail cams. Abandoned Porta potty. Now duck hunters 200 yds away grinding up the water and talking loud. God bless em they are having fun but my ears need quiet.

Been a hell of a last couple of days ducking and dodging. Duck hunters are limited to their blinds in here during bow season. Nope they are now walking down the sliver of land behind me yelling. I need a Xanax.

Change of plans for me I abandoned the tree stand that was making to much noise and I moved about 40yds and sat in the ground. Miracles happen right? That's what it's going to take.

    Gorgeous evening.

    Wind is shifting frequently.

400 yards away from where I was hunting when there was an east wind - now west side of cornfield.

Good luck Shock! Get down wind of the gully - probably can smell him before you see him.

View from the ground. There's a nice rub down there and that my shooting window. Dark clouds to my north might be getting a shower soon. IMG_20221101_165143.jpg

I just need one hot doe to make me say, "do ya feel lucky, punk?" I think they are setting their decoys for the morning. I hope the deer are used to it...prob are.

I just got back and unloaded everything that needed to be picked up. I got my tags as well. Just now eating"lunch".
Now at noon before I left, I was waiting to see if new card arrived, no. I took AJ out to zoom around garden as I emptied compost and picked some broccoli. All of a sudden he froze staring past food plot behind the garden and down the lane way. I moved to see what he did and there are two buck 15 yrds the stand I hunted yesterday. They saw me and spun AJ made it to 3bounds before he heard my command and stopped. Good boy! I could tell it was a hey, playmates OK!!! No no they aren't! Anyways it was a spike and 3pt.
This made me decide to check that cam I just put new batteries in yesterday. Buggered up the area at the moment so good time to do it. 190 pics, with only 4 of me,2 of AJ, 4 of two different doe. ALL the rest were buck from 11pm to 9 a.m. It was a buck parade all night checking scrapes and the grape vine. walking the laneway. Spikes,3, 4, , 6, and a big sweeping7. He I would have to think about even though spindly. Also a medium 8pt. So many different sized and shaped spikes 3'sand 4's.. the one doe I think was the big girl from yesterday morning.. most were coming in from the direction of the garden . The cam faces that direction. The day pics came in from behind the cam.
    There's hopes guys, there's hope.

Thanks for all the congrats. The only pic that went through was basically point of impact and was blood on weed stem. We had rain last night so everything was wet. Arrow stayed in him except the last 10 yards. He went about 55 yards I’m guessing. Did get a pass through and it did hit the off side leg. I’m shooting a 515 grain arrow so is puzzled me at first with no pass through but arrow and broad head did it’s job. Nicked the heart and took out both lungs. Got him quartered and in the garage frig. It’s almost 70 here today so couldn’t let him hang. Good luck to those that are out. I’ll see if some blood pics will post ok with be lousy internet

I’m back up for the afternoon sit.

My son and I did a little looking earlier. I can’t believe it’s November and I was swatting at mosquitos the entire time.

We found some promising sign. Lots of scrapes.
