Good luck archbunk! As for me I'm off to the range. Took a bad fall coming off those rocky hills yesterday and smacked my bow good.
I always had an issue with that on the QAD’s. As odd as it sounds I used some good ole scotch tape, I put it in the valley of the rest then put a thin strip around the tape and rest itself to hold it tight and I never had another issue. I’ve since went to the hha virtus and have never had an issue with squeaking and have had the rest for 4 1/2 years with nothing done to it. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Well, so far this hasn't been the morning I envisioned. I saw something run off behind me about an hour ago. Couldn't tell if it was a buck or doe. Last time I was in this stand, they were moving through the whole morning. Sent from my SM-N975U1 using Tapatalk
If your actually considering string wax, perhaps rail lube would be better different texture smoother, never gets sticky.
There is a gobbler going nuts down in the valley I was typing that when I heard a grunt. Looked and saw a doe at 52 yards. A little spike ran her to 25 yards and I had an opportunity but she was quartering to me at the wrong angle. Her right front leg was blocking her vitals. The spike ran her off. Just needed her to turn a bit. It was exciting anyway.
Taking a rain day and...this is so laughable this year, going to pick up my 2extra doe tags. I'm also going to go have to pay 15.00 for a muzzle loader licence . This so I can use my crossbow the rest of this and the late bow season. BTW I have a life time regular and bow license. In NYS legislatures little brains apparently a crossbow is a muzzle loader. Wait clarification...ONLY FOR DEER I do not need a,special license to use it on small game, or Turkey.
Dude! You better put a seat belt on that, don't want your baby getting hurt! Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
Ok not sure what the hell is going on. Another fisher (maybe same one?) came out right to the base of my tree. I’m hundreds of yards from my stand last night. What are the chances. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Got ‘em! Went about 75 yards. First deer I’ve shot with a bow in 5 years and 1 st deer with my Bear bow. I’ll take it!
As silly as this sounds, my arrows get a light coating of coconut oil in the spring (I’m cheap, wife eats keto in spurts) and the arrows get a lot of flinging pre/off season…makes for easy pulling from (what’s left of) my 18-1… may get a little build up on the felt…never have squeaks…
