I’ve been set up for about 20 minutes and still have 25 to wait for first light.

First sit on public ground this year.

    Here we go.

I have not tested. Going on day 5 now just assumed it was a common cold. My body is trying it’s best to get whatever is in there out. What came out of my nose/lungs this morning could have been a featured character in a horror movie.

I learned a lesson yesterday never leave your bow in the truck while scouting in Iowa. I hunted yesterday morning not much action. So after morning hunt i decided to check out the hardwood’s behind the parking spot. 10 minutes in to the scouting trip I hear grunts coming my way I drop to my knees a decent 8pt fly’s by me I hear more grunts coming giant buck I give him the best mouth grunt I can and he locks up at 15yds after a stair down he heads back after the other buck. Here I sit hunting the parking spot buck…

I don’t get this. At first light I test drew my bow. Not to full draw. Just to flex my muscles a bit. The arrow squeaked/groaned on the rest.

I just put new felt in the QAD flipper yesterday because it was making noise. I’ve been sitting here pinching the felt. I even took my pocket knife and tried roughing the new felt up a bit.

Still making noise when I draw. I guess I could try putting a little string wax on the felt and see if that helps.

Just shot a small buck. Everything felt good but didn’t get a pass through. He was slightly quartering away. May have hit a little low. I’m hoping worse case is hit off side leg. He bolted and ran into a tree then kept running so I’m hoping that was his death run. Giving it about 30 mins and going to look for blood

That’s odd. I know after a lil shooting the felt wears down and gets hard” and it will squeak in the back draw a bit, maybe wet it a lil for a temp fix.

I haven’t been hunting at all, I tweaked my neck/back last 4 days I could barley get dressed, woke up today much better. Prednisone and some muscle relaxers for the win. Hope to get out this week b4 I leave for IA on the 4th

It is odd. I even partially drew it without an arrow to make sure it wasn’t the bow since I derailed it in Kentucky. It’s not, so it has to be the felt.
