Well there was little to no sign where I wanted to set up so I backed out hopped in the car and decided to come to my dad and is old reliable killing tree… set up on a state park that we have taken a bunch of deer from. Most of those coming from the end of October-beginning on November. The bucks usually don’t make any sign in here but there is a pretty fresh scrape about 10 yards away! Couldn’t think of a better tree to spend the evening in! Feels deery out here and I am ready to go!!! Birthday buck here I come!

I've got a bad case of bone head blue balls over here. Tag soup last year, didn't see a legal buck All Season and so far this season is like Groundhog Day

Sun is out for the first time in 2 days. 0 wind. Weird.

Not sure why I always expect more. Places I hunt don't ever have good rutting behavior. Endure.

All set up in our pinch point stand. Temps are high but.... deer are deer and hopefully they listen to their hormones.

    C'mon Halloween buck!

I haven't killed a buck with a bow since 2018, not for lack of opportunity, but decided I wasn't going to shoot another buck unless it was better than the last one. Which for me with a bow, would be better than 110" 3.5 year old. The last couple of years of public land hunting have proven that to be a little harder than I thought. Not sure I feeling like hold myself to that this year, especially if things work as I hope and I drop the money on a nonresident MO license next weekend. But, I have only had time for one hunt so far this year, and saw only does on than sit.

I’m back up sitting in the box blind again. I checked a couple cams on the way out this morning and there were 3 different bucks in here the past 24 hours. The one that I am after went by the stand I was in this morning an hour before I got there so we are getting really close here to all hell breaking loose. Good luck everyone

Been set up for a bit now. Farmers are just starting to take out the neighbors corn today. Should help push the deer into the cover more over the next week. Not much for daylight activity yet and who knows when it will happen with these temps this week.

Decided not to switch my vacation to next week even though it’s supposed to be almost 30 degrees cooler.

Still have not laid eyes on a mature buck yet this year… and I’ve hunted a lot.

Ok brother I'm doing the same. Buck comes off high ground and hits these acorns before going downhill to fields.
